On the same day 13 MADAM teachers completed the 6-day training for the Youth Readiness Intervention (YRI). They are now fully trained to facilitate the YRI for their students at MADAM TVET courses, but can also apply their new skills and knowledge with young people in the community!
Apart from MADAM teachers, the training was also completed successfully by TVET colleagues from SLOIC Makeni, Youth Build SL, T-Investment, Next Chance Innovation, and Action for the Rehabilitation of Drug Victims (ARDV).

Trainees learned how to teach their students to set SMART goals, and how to work to achieve these goals. They also learned techniques to support their students in developing social skills, dealing with trauma, and how to manage their emotions.
