MADAM delegates attend CPS Mano river conference on drug addiction
Last week, 28 October to 1 November, Edward Conteh (head of Programmes), Salamatu Conteh (Advocacy Coordinator) and Suzanne Hartman (CPS Worker), attended the Annual Network Meeting from the CPS Mano river area. The topic fr this Network Meeting was how all CPS funded companies in the Mano river area can work in partnership to combat drugs and substance abuse in Liberia and Sierra Leone to build resilient communities. Monday and Friday were designated travel days, and on Tuesday to Thursday the programme was full with workshops, context analysis, presentations and breakout sessions.
Participants were able to understand more about the work of Lutheran Church in Liberia Trauma Healing and Reconciliation Program (LCL-THRP) and about the cooperation MADAM has with ARDV.
The conference ended with a visit to Monrovia and a social evening with music, food and drinks by te beach club!
Going forward, the aim is to create a strong network where we can share experiences and knowledge and skills to combat drugs in both countries.
